REQUIREMENTS:
Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Indiana teacher's license with Special Education certification (Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention or Intense covering appropriate school setting position).
Quality preparation and/or experiences in teaching Special Education.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Outstanding references.
The ability to relate to students, staff and parents in a positive manner.

A copy of a valid Indiana Teaching License/Indiana Certification;

Life Skills Teacher-Daviess Martin Special Ed Cooperative
SALARY: Based on Master Contract
Locations: DMSEC-Washington Intermediate, Washington Upper, AND Washington High School

REQUIREMENTS:

Quality preparation and/or experiences in teaching Special Education.

Non-Certified Positions:
NEW: Coop Deputy Treasurer
Salary: Based on education and experience.
Contract Length: 245 days

Qualifications:
Experience with accounting and/or bookkeeping; working knowledge of Komputrol (school finance/accounting) software
Ability to make involved and varied mathematical computations rapidly and accurately
Ability to tabulate statistical data and compile necessary monthly/quarterly/annual reports
Must possess leadership qualities, ability to organize and ability to budget time effectively
Must work effectively with others and have ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
Must possess good sense of humor and ability to function under stress and pressure
Responsibilities:
Acts as Treasurer to the Board of Education.
Serves as chief fiscal officer.
Performs the responsibilities of the Treasurer’s position as outlined by Indiana Statutes.
Receives and receipts all Corporation revenue for all accounts.
Disburses all payments with proper authority of the Board of School Trustees.
Keeps accurate financial records according to law, and as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts.
Prepares all reports prescribed by the Laws of Indiana and the Acts of the State Board of Accounts, and submit on time.
Prepares a monthly financial report on all accounts for the Superintendent and Board of School Trustees.
Prepares monthly claims statement for the Superintendent and Board of School Trustees.
Assists with payroll.
Orders supplies for entire Coop.
Tracks and amends federal grant monies.
Serves as the expert in the area of employee benefits.
Prepares reports and/or information as needed by the Superintendent or Board of School Trustees.
Assists the Superintendent with the preparation of the budget.
Encumbers appropriations and completes certification of payment of all warrants.
Accounts for all school funds on forms prescribed and approved by the Indiana State Board of Accounts.
Prepares and publishes an annual financial statement within the time frame as established by the Laws of Indiana and the Acts of the State Board of Accounts.
Compiles and files reports with the County Auditor, State Auditor, and State Department of Education as required.
Arranges the investment of funds under the provisions of the Laws of Indiana and the Acts of the State Board of Accounts.
Performs other such tasks as may be assigned by the Board, the Superintendent, or his/her designee
Paraprofessional
SALARY: Competitive wage based on a 5.5 hour work day.
EFFECTIVE DATE: With Board Approval
REQUIREMENTS:
Instructional paraprofessionals employed after January 8, 2002 must either have completed two years of college, or hold a two-year degree, or pass a state or local assessment.
Have knowledge and understanding of:
Human growth and development and the impact of disabilities as related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Effective communication skills (oral and written)
